Aloha! My name is Nikki & I am the Owner/Designer of Mahina Jewelry.

I'm part Hawaiian and was born and raised on the beautiful island of O'ahu in Hawaii where I still live to this day.  I have always loved my surroundings.  Dancing Hula, swimming in the ocean, playing in the sand and finding treasures has always been a way of life.  When my sister and I were younger, we would spend our weekends at the beach.  As a local girl, you grow up with a great love and respect for the ocean and all that it has to offer.

I've always been artistic and creative and after having my daughter, I decided to start making my own jewelry with the treasures I find on the beach.  I was inspired by my uncle who is a Goldsmith on the mainland as I was always fascinated by his designs.  I decided to create 'Mahina Jewelry; because I wanted to be able to share my love for the ocean through my own designs.

As a young girl, my Mom always called me "Mahina" which means Moon in Hawaiian.  One of my favorite sights to see if a full moon reflecting off of the waves at night - so calm and peaceful, exactly how I feel when I'm creating my designs.  It seemed natural to call my jewelry line Mahina.  My wish is that when you wear my jewelry you will feel some of the Aloha our beautiful islands and ocean have.
